Calgary Economic Development CEO steps down

January 29, 2015

Calling it quits after 12 years, the president and CEO of Calgary Economic Development has announced he's stepping down.

Named to the post in 2003, Bruce Graham helped grow the fledgling organization into one of the country's premier economic development entities.

Saying he accomplished everything he set out to do, Graham said it was time for new leadership to guide the city's future economic development.

Graham oversaw several high-profile projects during his time with Calgary Economic Development, including the construction of the Bow office tower, facilitating and supporting Imperial Oil's relocation of its headquarters from Toronto and the creation of the city's first purpose-built studio complex.

Graham will stay in his post until June.
