Man shows up at Calgary hospital with life-threatening stab wounds

Police have few leads after a critically injured man staggered into a city hospital Tuesday afternoon.

At last report, investigators had yet to speak with the victim, who police say suffered life-threatening stab wounds.

Just after 4 p.m., the injured man walked through the emergency room entrance of Peter Lougheed hospital, said Det. Martin Taylor.

“We don’t know how he got it, we don’t know where he got it,” he said.

An on-duty Calgary police officer at the hospital on an unrelated matter encountered the male, who was immediately brought to emergency room doctors for treatment. Medical staff determined his wounds were life-threatening.

Spending Tuesday night under treatment for his injuries, the victim has yet to be questioned by police about the circumstances behind the stabbing.
